Plastic toothbrushes are a key part of our plastic waste story.
According to research by Foreo, 1 billion toothbrushes are thrown away annually in the United States alone. This is 50 million pounds of waste that sometimes ends in waterways and oceans.
According to National Geographic, every toothbrush used since the 1930s still exists on the planet. Now is the time to make a change, don't you think?
The Sustainable tomorrow Bamboo Electric Toothbrush use replaceable heads carved from bamboo. Each head takes around six months to compost while a plastic one takes hundreds of years to fully break down.
The average person uses 300 toothbrush heads in their lifetime. Make sure yours are eco-friendly!

ENVIRONMENTAL FOOTPRINT
To properly dispose each Bamboo Electric Toothbrush head, place it in a composting bin. It will take around 6 months to compost.
Our plant-based bristles are made of castor seeds oil. Moreover, we are glad to share that they will eventually break down in a home composting environment. However, we cannot legally call our bristles "compostable" as it will takes more than 3 months. That is still a huge improvement compare to petroleum based bristles as our bristles will become plant food at some point!
Love these! My dentist told me to get an electric toothbrush, but I didn’t want to because of the use of plastic, found this toothbrush and decided to try it. I love it.
Absolutely love this brush. I spent a long time looking for a nontoxic no plastic brush. This works really well. Need to replace the heads often (like every 30 days)
I love the idea of a non plastic electric toothbrush. The one downside of this toothbrush is that the head does not move as good as my plastic one....but still like it.
I love that these are bamboo and that even the bristles are compostable. The bristles are nice and soft and leave my mouth feeling so clean. This company is making products that I believe are the future for toothbrushes. However, quality control isn't the best. Sometimes the heads don't fit well on the base, and we have thrown out so many prematurely because they were sliding off the base while brushing. It's not just annoying but almost impossible to use, and probably a choking hazard. I hope it's something they continue to work to fix, because I really want to continue supporting this company!
I just had my first follow up dentist appointment 6 months after I started using my sustainable toothbrush and I got GLOWING reviews from my hygienist and dentist! They couldn't believe how little buildup I had on my far back molars :) So glad I upgraded!
I love my toothbrush heads. Delivered every 9 months, a box of 3. The price has gone up a lot recently, but before it was ridiculously cheap, and 1 toothbrush head arrived every 3 months. It was such a waste of travelled miles and I don't think there was much of a profit margin for the business. Their response team in Australia have been wonderful. Couldn't fault them.
These brush heads are soft enough to stop my life-long tendency to scrub too hard, yet my teeth feel clean after the brushing cycle. Since they aren't made of plastic, I can feel good about changing my brush head in the recommended time without adding to the mountain of waste every time.
This bamboo heads for my amazing toothbrush are just perfect!! I love very much my bamboo toothbrush that only needs charging every 2 months !!! Cleans my teeth perfect !! Love love love
Love these toothbrush heads. I can feel good that I'm not adding any more plastic to the landfill.
One ask: can you please print for which toothbrush they are for on the packages? (I have the bamboo and hubby has a Philips and we can't really tell the difference.) Thanks!
I really appreciate what Sustainable Tomorrow is trying to do. They supported me well during the postal shut down, and even offered to refund or discount the purchase, even though it was not in their control. Thank you ST!
I really love the concept of the Sustainable Tomorrow toothbrush. It cleans well and meets my wish to have an electronic toothbrush with a completely biodegradable brush head. I do wish the brush heads with angled bristles were continued however. They seemed to have cleaned better than the flat bristle heads.
I really like my Sustainable electric toothbrush. Despite some blips when I first bought it (stopped working, brush heads wouldn't stay on), it's worked out okay and improved my dental health. And customer service has been FANTASTIC! They sent me a replacement toothbrush and replacement heads when I got a bad batch. These current heads were bought because of a sale, and I appreciate the discount.
